An Ozark Heritage Region Business Conference is set for 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at the West Plains Civic Center. The conference is funded by a grant from the University of Missouri Extension’s Community Economic & Entrepreneurial Development (ExCEED) Program which focuses on economic development opportunities in rural communities. Attendance to the conference is free.

This type of training would cost your business several hundreds of dollars if performed in the private section. Whether your business is manufacturing, retail or service, this is a must-attend event for all business owners and operators.

If you can help with the booth in West Plains or would like to send brochures, etc. contact Sheri at 924-7070

April 16 2009 is best described as BUSY Thursday!!

Watch for more news items about the Regional meeting for the Community Foundation of the Ozarks at the Mansfield Community Center.  There will be meetings from 10 am until 2 pm, plus lunch.  If you will be attending and having lunch, RSVP to the Community Center phone: 417-924-7070. Everyone is encouraged to attend either the morning session or the afternoon session or both.  Lunch is not an obligation.

Ozarks Heritage Region had planned their meeting at the Mansfield Community Center in Mansfield for April 16 at 10:00 am.  What a move of fate to have them in town at the same time as the team from the Community Foundation.  Ozarks Heritage Region does a great amount of enthusiastic promotion for our area.

Wilder Days meeting is scheduled for the big Thursday too, but I’m not sure of a time yet.  I will edit this and add that as soon as I know.

Trevor Murdock will headline for the World League of Wrestling fundraiser at the Mansfield Community Center on April 11.   Autographs will begin at 3:30 with the real wrestling action to follow.

That Trevor guy looks tough enough to get your crossface chickenwings  into a twist!  There are so many WRESTLING HOLDS that the audience will be in a real STF* to keep track of all of the action.

All funds raised will benefit the Mansfield Community Center and the Mansfield Community Betterment Project.   You can purchase tickets at the Mansfield Community Center, The Bank of Mansfield and FOUR Subway locations: Ava, Mansfield, Seymour and Mountain Grove.

PS: STF means Stepover Toehold Facelock…that should stretch someone’s chickenwings!
